One For The Booth And One Or Two For Me

Well I have been doing just a little junking here and there and finding things for my booths.

Here are just a few of my recent finds.
Industrial stool & carpenters bench,
white washed wash tub, with holes no doubt
 great for flowers,
store dry goods wire baskets & rack,
any craft room could use this or a maybe for the kitchen and all that produce.
paint by numbers farm pictures on canvas,
measuring 17" x 20",
large mouth bass trophies, boy could you tell some big whopper tales with these things.

It wouldn't be any fun if I didn't keep anything for myself.
Now here is the question which of these do you think I kept?
and the winner is...

It's Not Always About The Stuff

Do you know what you are seeing?

You are seeing what I hear, when I sit out in my back yard swing
next to an old apple tree which at first glance seems to have very little life left in it.

Baby birds tucked deep inside that old apple tree, which is still full of life.

World War II Letters Pt 3

 August 29th, 1942

 Hello Darling,
I have just been out looking at the eclipse of the moon.  I think is the first time I ever saw the moon in eclipse but I have seen the sun two times.  I wore my tan wool skirt and my sweater today and it sure felt good too.  Are you having plenty of cover and do you keep warm I sure miss those little warm feet against mine these cold nights.
I wouldn't take anything for that short married life we had and just think sweety pie we will start just where we left off and begin it with our second honeymoon so hurry back to me I'll be waiting. Just always remember wherever you are I'm pulling for you 1000 times so I know you will make it alright.

 This is just another
little excerpt
from the wife's letter
to the husband,

Now for the husbands to the wife,

August 29th,1942

Good morning darling,
Remember I used to say that every morning when you woke up and follow it with a kiss.  Wish I could  administer the kiss this morning, don't you.   The outfit is having a beer party this evening with plenty of women and beer but your husband will remain in the barracks as I know you would want me to.  I love you darling more everyday.    Each night before I go to sleep I always have my quite time when I think of nothing but you  It helps me a lot. I would really enjoyed laying you across our bed.  This is not public reading matter so don't leave it lying around.Good night darling I'll find time to write tomorrow.

and life goes on....
