Just A Few Friends

The beauty of small town living, you never know when the neighbors will drop in.

Seriously, there were 8 unexpected goats in the patio area early one morning.

This was there leader, they all followed this one.
They came in a  group and they left in a group.
They only stayed about 5 minutes,
not enough time.
I only got two pictures, before my 20 year old son crowded me out of the window and started snapping pictures with his phone, you'd thought he had never seen the neighbors before.

  1. What a fun visit! Sometimes our neighbor's bull visits us. I'd rather have goats. haha. One time the bull took a disliking to one of our water hydrants and bent the thing to the ground. =)

  2. WHAT?!?!? You didn't invite them in for tea and crumpets? How funny! xo Diana

  3. That's the best kind of neighbour that stops by for a visit and doesn't stay too long. It's an extra bonus if they cut your grass while they are there! ~ Maureen

  4. Ha! This reminds me of one Christmas morning about 10 or 11 years ago, we were living in a small rural town near here, and my son said, "There's a cow walking down the street." Sure enough, there it went, looking like a cow on a mission. Sort of like your goats!

  7. Lol!! What a hilarious invasion. They really should call first - I don't know about you, but I'm not a big fan of the 'drop-in!'

  8. Goats are great escape artists. As you know, I have the neighbor's chickens visit me, but I don't know how I'd react with goats. Your post made me laugh out loud!

  10. So funny. When summer comes, though, you might not want them eating your flowers :)

  12. Your "neighbors" are adorable. We've seen deer and wild turkeys in our back yard but never goats!

  13. You have a beautiful blog! Just loved seeing these darling goats. We just don't get to see anything like that in Los Angeles... a few squirrels, Raccoons and and Possums are our wildlife friends. Have a wonderful day!

  15. Love these photos. I used to live on the edge of a wood and the deer sometimes slept under our trees. That was fine with me however, they thought all the bulbs and hydrangeas I had planted were their salad bar. Can't fight Mother Nature is the lesson I learned.
