Junk From A Sell To Treasures In The Garden

This my friends is a bowling ball.

It all started with a book from a yard sell on garden art.  The picture of a similar copper looking ball, caught my husband eye, and the rest is history as they say.  He became obsessed with finding a bowling ball for as little as possible $2 bucks, you know I have seen millions over the years at sells, but never thought of buying one, then when your looking they all but disappear.  So the ball was found and purchased and then became the process of gluing the pennies on with quick drying cheap glue.  We would come home from work and some of the pennies would have fallen off.  Once the right glue was used then came the grout and then a polyurethane coating.  My husband was so funny, the ball had to have a front and center place in the garden.  But I won out and it has the right placement now, you know the angle, the light, the placement is everything.  It is wonderful I love it and my husband...

and then there is the wonderful person, who at a sell just wants to get rid of everything. You know the one, your making a pile to get a better deal but they too are carried away by the moment and tell you... take this too, it's broke so you can just have it.  I hardly ever say no, I like to keep the momentum going and I very rarely ever regret it.
This broke bird bath is one of those items.

The back is broken but it still holds water for all my furry and feathered friends.

So think outside the box, you never know when
someones trash will be your treasure.
